The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for providing strategic, financial and operational support to help drive success across the entire IoT & Analytics portfolio, including innovative end-to-end monetization models for products, services and solutions. As a key member of the team, he/she will lead all legal and operational on-boarding of new vendors and be the primary interface to the central operations, finance and legal teams. In addition, he/she is responsible for team financial management, analysis and KPI tracking.

Key Characteristics:
* Key contributor to operationalizing IoT & Analytics products and services.
* Central owner for the operational on-boarding of new vendors, price setting and supporting the in-country teams to ensure rapid on-boarding of new vendors and models.
* Own definition and design in central operations to support TD IoT Business.
* Provide strategic processes and operational support to help drive success across the entire IoT portfolio, including innovative end-to-end monetization models for products, services, and solutions. Deploy solutions and support them as needed.
* Ensure that IoT central operations, vendor operations, and business transactions follow all relevant legal and compliance rules.
* Review existing processes and provide advice in specialized subject areas, for example legal guidelines, internal compliance policies, services, technical support, or others as necessary.
* Maintain, manage and constantly improve central services.
* Ensure that standard procedures related to Purchase to Pay and Order to Cash are in place, communicated and applied to achieve service level within the geography under his/her responsibility.
* Document all process accordingly: Ensure all necessary procedures and management processes are implemented to guarantee homogeneous and up-to-standard service level within the scope of order fulfilment and vendor and customer invoicing.
* Act as the business owner for operations system enablement. Liaise with SAP Order Processing, ecommerce Platform teams and IT to drive the definition of system requirements, functional specs and deployment of the necessary revenue and pricing processes supporting our solution offering.
* Support “new to distribution” vendors to define innovative partner programs and operational models.
* Business owner coordinating with IT the development and management of underlying technology and tools needed for recurring revenue and pricing implementation and analysis.
* Defines and monitors KPI’s to ensure sales and pricing plans are effective, makes recommendations on required changes in strategy, processes and systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Business owner for operations system enablement: liaises with IT to drive the definition of system requirements, functional specs and deployment of the necessary revenue and pricing processes supporting our solution offering, fully understands the pricing workflow through system.
* Legal and Operational Vendor on-boarding: collaborates with central and local legal and operational teams to support new vendors through the contract phase and ensure that they are fully operational so that country sales teams can start transacting as efficiently as possible.
* Support “new to distribution” vendors. Define best practice partner & distribution programs and support new vendors in their implementation on the required operation models.
* Monitors pricing setting and performance in operations: collaborates with local and central teams to provide strategic, analytical and implementation pricing support, monitors country results to identify major deviations from defined profitability plans, prioritizes immediate remediation measures and drives the implementation of the required levers jointly with local teams.
* Monitors Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), key recurring revenue and other financial metrics: brings visibility on customer lifetime value of every customer relationship to maximize retention rates and monthly recurring revenues.
* Contributes to commercialization strategy and Tech Data’s value proposition for IoT & Analytics: helps identify and execute new business models. Partners with the solutions team and across LOBs to implement and commercialize solutions to capitalize on identified opportunities, prepares compelling presentations conceptualizing Tech Data’s IoT & Analytics commercial operations end-to-end, standardizes profit center structure and product/service allocation for (recurring) IoT revenue/profit recognition and reporting
* Implements pricing strategies and models: develops pricing and value selling strategies and programs linked to recurring revenue monetization models that may span multiple product divisions and 3rd party services, provides insight on competitive pricing landscape with analysis on pricing programs.
* Integrates pricing structures from business partners: ensures alignment with 3rd party subscription and usage-based pricing structures for all components of Tech Data’s IoT & Analytics portfolio.
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President, IoT & Analytics Solutions and Cloud Systems and Operations Director.

Working Conditions:

* Travel outside of home country up to 25%

Requisitos mínimos Experience, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, skill, and/or ability required:
* Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (Business, Marketing, Product Marketing). MBA a plus.
* Solid understanding of IoT market
* Solid understanding of vendor dynamics within the Software distribution channel.
* Strategic and analytical skills
* Proven experience on project management.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* An out of the box thinking mentality
* Exceptional customer service orientation.
* Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual (ownership)
* Comfortable working in an international results driven project organisation.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Project Experience of Software Licensing, Support, or Customer Service functions definite advantage. Understanding of the IT Software / Services / SaaS industry are helpful
* +3 years working experience with legal contract management and operational models.
* +2 years working experience using value based pricing methods that include hardware, software & services with focus on SaaS, PaaS and subscription/usage-based models.
* Superior strategic and analytical skills; superb business judgment combined with financial acumen;
* Self-starter with experience of driving a process from start to finish.
* Solid negotiation and persuasive skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SAP knowledge is a plus.
* Must be able to work within a matrix management structure to accomplish goals and rely on elements of support group execution as part of overall accountability.
* Proficiency in English.
* EU-Citizenship or working permit required.
